Who We Are
At DMT Law Firm, we specialize in U.S. immigration services for artists, entertainers, and creatives from around the world. Our clients range from Grammy-winning musicians to up-andcoming filmmakers, and we take pride in handling every visa case with the same level of energy, empathy, and excellence.
We are a remote-first, tech-savvy law firm that?s fast-paced, highly collaborative, and deeply client-focused. Our mission is simple: help extraordinary talent get where they need to be ? fast, efficiently, and with clarity.
Our Core Values
- Client-First Advocacy: We fight for our clients? goals as if they were our own.
- Proactive Excellence: We don?t wait for things to go wrong ? we plan, prevent, and communicate.
- Clear Communication: We believe empathy and transparency make even the most complex legal work approachable.
- Team Growth: Feedback is fuel. We invest in people who want to grow with us.
- Ownership & Accountability: We take timelines seriously ? they?re our timelines, not just the client?s.
Position: Legal Writer
As a Legal Writer at DMT, you will be the author behind our most persuasive legal arguments. You will apply the law for United States O and P visas to the specific trajectory of each artist you work on by gathering publicly available evidence to support our client?s qualifications.
This role is ideal for someone who writes like a lawyer, thinks like a strategist, and thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
What you'll do:
Draft Persuasive Legal Arguments:
- Build a legal case for why the client qualifies as extraordinary or internationally recognized talent.
- Use clear and compelling language?neither too much nor too little?to meet USCIS expectations.
-Balance professionalism with persuasion;avoid fluff and focus on facts.
Research and Compile Evidence:
- Identify and gather exhibits that support each claim made in the legal memo (e.g., press articles, streaming data, awards).
- Use publicly available sources and testimonials with minimal burden on the client.
- Coordinate with the case manager or attorney to request additional materials, if needed.
Collaborate on Strategy:
- Work closely with attorneys to structure arguments and flag potential gaps.
- Guide team members on the type of evidence needed for each case type or client background.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement:
- Provide input on templates, workflows, and writing standards.
- Receive and implement feedback on drafts quickly and positively.
Tools & Platforms We Use
- Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PDF-Xchange, Gmail, Google Drive, Loom, Monday.com (case management software)
- Internal templates and structured workflows
What We're Looking For
- Excellent analytical skills, legal writing, thinking outside the box, and editing skills
- Strong understanding of persuasive argumentation and evidence
- Meticulous attention to detail and logical flow
- Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Proactive communication and responsiveness
- Prior experience with immigration, entertainment law, or legal drafting a strong plus ? but a sharp
legal mind and fast learner is just as valuable.
Compensation varies depending on experience. $2,300.00 - $2,500.00 USD.
Up to 10% bonus paid quarterly based on performance.
