We are looking for a talented and innovative Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on optimizing our architectural and lighting products through material improvements, supply chain enhancements, and sustainability initiatives while maintaining our commitment to accuracy, resourcefulness, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement VAVE projects to improve product value, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability across Arktura's product lines.
- Conduct analysis and testing for material optimization, DFM (Design for Manufacturability) lightweighting, material and design changes, and supply chain and process improvements to identify and vet solutions.
- Engage with customers and product managers to understand customer needs and translate them into value-driven design improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer and manufacturing issues
- Collaborate with design, production, engineering, supply chain, and marketing teams to implement VAVE initiatives.
- Conduct life cycle assessments and cost-benefit analyses to prioritize financial, performance, and sustainability.
- Generate fabrication documentation, BOMs, CNC production files and QC documentation/protocols.
- Generate and modify highly detailed production-level models utilizing Solidworks and Rhino.
- Update product BOM?s, CPQ rulesets, database documents, and product numbers using ERP software.
- Manage team communications to keep key stakeholders up to date on project statuses and launches, including announcements, change requests, product diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Have a strong functional knowledge of the machines and processes at Arktura.
- Support and direct production team members during the production phase of a project and troubleshoot/solve potential issues as they arise.
- Interface with vendors and source component hardware and services.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in VAVE, product development, or related roles.
- Proficiency in Solidworks, including FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and Rhino 3D a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.

- Experience with cost modeling and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP Software a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical, financial, and sustainability considerations in product development.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of basic materials science.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and life cycle assessment methodologies.
- A passion for continuous improvement of products and processes.
- Upper intermediate level of english.
