About JSBC:

1. We are a US accounting firm that provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to private companies in the US.
2. While our ownership is in the US, most of our managers, supervisors, and staff are based in Argentina. Our team is 12 people and growing!
3. We are a fully remote firm and use Teams and other Microsoft tools to stay organized. We value strong computer and software skills.
4. We communicate in English, so English proficiency is necessary!
5. Our clients use a variety of accounting and related software systems: Microsoft (of course), QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Gusto, Rippling, Paycor, ADP, and more.
6. My goal, as the owner, is to create a kind and respectful environment. We want people to be well supported and never so busy that their work or personal life suffers.

Position:

1 - We are hiring a Staff Bookkeeper.
2 - The salary range is $750 to $900. It will be paid in USD biweekly.
3 - The job is fully remote. You will be required to work during US ?CST? time zone business hours. You are also required to have your own computer and suitable workstation.\
4 - The responsibilities will include general accounting work, creating journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, etc.
5 - You will be directly supervised by our wonderful and kind supervising accountant. You will be working on a team with 4 other Spanish speaking, remote workers.
6 - We are growing while also constantly improving our processes, so you may be involved in novel problem solving, system design, or other tasks within the realm of business consulting.

Preferred Prerequisites:

1 - 1 or more years in accounting or directly related work.
2 - Some accounting knowledge of IFRS or GAAP.

The Process:

1 - Those with suitable CV?s will be asked to take a 10-minute aptitude test. This will help us identify strengths and weaknesses among our candidates.
2 - Candidates will be requested to participate in three interviews:
A preliminary 15-minute interview to serve as a screening for communication ability.
3 - An interview with the supervisor.
4 - An interview with the business partners.
